3 Days 2 Nights in Phuket, Thailand - 3 Spots to Enjoy the Sunset in Kata
Don’t you think that it’s always a good idea to catch the sunrise or sunset whenever you go on a beach vacation? It could be a pretty zen moment while you surround yourself with the beauty of Mother Nature. However, it could be quite hard to find an excellent spot to catch the sunrise or sunset without much research. You don’t want to waste time going to a place, only to realise that you are facing the wrong direction of either the sunset or sunrise. Here are the 3 spots to catch the sunset in Kata. They are all near Kata Beach.
In order of my favourite spot to catch the sunset...
1. Kata Beach
Of course, how could I forget about the beach? Kata Beach is another great spot to catch the sunset. You can visit the beach in the late evening, find a quiet place, surf, people watch and enjoy the sound of the waves. Then, enjoy the view of the sun setting into the ocean when the time comes. There are bar and restaurants nearby the beach, so you do not need to worry about hunger. You can even grab a beer and have a stroll while the sunsets. At times, you can also see drones above you.
2. The Sundeck
The Sundeck is another good spot if you are looking to chill with your friends with some food and enjoy the beautiful sunset. As the restaurant is located by the hill, you can take in the gorgeous view of the beach, greenery and the sunset. However, you may want to note that Nook Dee Hotel would block a portion of the sunset.
A part of me believes that The Nook Dee hotel group opens the Sundeck. This is because whatever sunset photo that you took would have the logo in the image. You are providing free advertising for the hotel. It is honestly a good marketing technique.
3. Nook Dee Hotel
I did not stay at this hotel during my stay in Phuket. Like I mentioned early, the sunset is in the direction of the hotel. Hence, I believe that you can view the sunset from the rooftop of the hotel. I looked through the review of the hotel; it seems like a pretty chic place. The rooftop pool looks cool too. I doubt there’s any building or mountain in front of the building that would block the view. There’s a Google image which should include the sunset from the rooftop of the hotel. There’s a rooftop bar, but I am not too sure if it’s open for public. However, do take this recommendation with a pinch of salt, as this is an assumption.
Hopefully, with this list, it would save you some time and research on finding a good spot to see the sunset in Kata.
x, Esther
