6 Days 5 Nights Itinerary in Amsterdam and Belgium - Review of The Augustin, Brussels

After a horrible night stay in Amsterdam, we took a Thalys early in the morning to Brussels, Belgium. For the entire trip in Belgium, we decided to stay in The Augustin. Upon reaching Brussels, I felt so much better because the place no longer smell of cannabis.

The Augustine is about 15 minutes walked from the Bruxelles-Midi station. The road to the hotel is not too rocky. You can walk over to the hotel from the train station to save on transport cost.

Upon arrival at the hotel, there are a small flight of stairs to the main entrance. Well... maybe 10 steps. You need to carry your luggage up. It could potentially be tiring if you have a heavy suitcase. The entrance to the hotel is locked. You would need to ring the doorbell to enter the building. This is a nice gesture to ensure the safety of all its guests. We arrived early, hoping to be able to check-in first, and luckily the room was available.

The room is exceptionally spacious. I am so pleased with it! There are a luggage stand, chair and additional table for you to put your items. There is also the usual furniture like bed and cupboard. Despite all these, you can 3 large luggage on the floor, and you can still have space to walk around. The washroom is spacious as well.

As you can see from the photos, the dry and wet sections are separated. I am very impressed by the room. On top of that, each guest has a glass of complimentary drink at the bar. This is one of the better-valued hotels that I ever stayed in the whole of Europe.

The hotel is also located quite close to the town area; it's a 20 minutes walk to the city area. I walked every day, so yes, it's really accessible.

Honestly, after a horrible night in Hotel CC in Amsterdam, this room is a dream. I will definitely stay in The Augustine again when I revisit Brussels.

x, Esther
