3 Days 2 Nights in Phuket, Thailand - Coffee House Cafe

There are plenty of food options available in Phuket, but honestly, it's quite hard to find a cafe in. At times, you want to sit in an air-conditioned place and chill with a good cup of coffee, but there aren’t many options in Phuket. Most of the restaurants here served Thai food. There are other options like Korean and Western food.

It took me some time to find a cafe on Google Map. Coffee House Cafe is one of the few options with good reviews. So, I thought, why not have brunch there. It was a 20 minutes walk from the hotel. That 20 minute was excruciating as the heat was getting to us, we were delighted to reach the cafe, which is air-conditioned.

I ordered a glass of Thai Green Milk Tea and a serving of the carbonara. These 2 are the most basic items which I think most places would be able to cook them relatively well. Carbonara is a simple dish to prepare, which I ordered on purpose as this is a good litmus test of the overall quality of the food.

The carbonara was good. It's creamy. The pasta was not al dente, but it's still good. Overall, the pasta is ok. There's no need for the extra sprinkle of cheese. On top of that, I don't see a need to have the tomato and breadsticks. It's a nice touch, but leave the pasta alone!

As for the Thai Green Milk Tea, it's too sweet for my liking. I couldn't finish it. To everyone else who has a sweet tooth, this drink is for you.

Would I recommend Coffee House Cafe to you?

Yes, this can be a good option for brunch. You may want to inform the service crew that you would prefer to have less or no sugar for your drinks. If I have to choose between The Sundeck or Coffee House Cafe, I would choose The Sundeck. The price point at Sundeck is higher, but the ambience and quality of food are so much better.
