4 Days 3 Nights in Cebu - Movenpick Hotel Mactan Island

It had been a few years since I went to the Philippines. Instead of revisiting Manila, I went to Cebu in August this year. People tend to go to Cebu for a beach holiday. I can't believe that I went for a beach vacation twice this year.

As there were 8 of us on this trip, we decided to get 2 suite rooms in Movenpick Hotel Mactan Island Cebu. It's a hotel which has a mini beachfront and a small beach club called Ibiza Beach Club. The suite room had a balcony which has a sea view too. It's a sweet spot to catch the sunrise.

Movenpick Hotel Mactan Island Cebu - Suite Room - Common Area

The suite room was really spacious. There was a common area which we used to lounge and chit chat. The mini-fridge was located in one of the shelves. The fridge was filled to the brim with beverages, we could hardly fit the beers and drinks that we bought from the supermarket. I felt like I was playing Tetris when I was placing the bottles into the fridge.

Now, there are 2 bedrooms; one master bedroom and a twin room. Both are equally spacious. You could leave your luggage in the room. The toilet in the master bedroom had a bathtub, but not the common bathroom. The common toilet had 2 doors, it linked to both the common area and the twin room. Hence, I had to remember to lock both doors when I used the bathroom.

During my stay here, I did go to the beach to tan for 2 mornings. Although it maybe 8am in the morning, but it was scorching hot. I could quickly get a tan within 1 hour of the time. It's best to stay under the shade after that.

Movenpick Hotel Mactan Island Cebu - Beach and Ibiza Beach Club

I also went to the Ibiza Beach Club on the first night. If I remembered correctly, the beach club had one for one drinks before 7pm. I had 2 glasses of mango ice blended. The songs played in the beach club was pretty good too. It's a beautiful place to chill. They had a 15-course dinner also. You can have all the grilled meat that you want. We saw a family who was enjoying the meal. The way they ate the food, make the food looked so yummy!

Movenpick Hotel Mactan Island Cebu also had the best breakfast spread. There are more than 10 choices to choose from. There's porridge, miso soup, fish, chicken, pork, beef, bread, different types of eggs, juices, variety of bread and so much more. I really loved the breakfast. It's one of the best hotel breakfast that I had.

Movenpick Hotel Mactan Island Cebu even had free shuttle bus services to the city area. The bus schedule was available at the reception. You just need to reserve your seat a few hours before the ride.

The only regret was that I could not find the gym. I wanted to use the gym on one of the days during my stay, but I could not find it. I asked around, and the staff pointed me to different directions.

Overall, it was a pleasant stay in Movenpick Hotel Mactan Island Cebu. It was a great place to chill in the morning and a great place to party at night. All in all, I enjoyed my stay here in Movenpick Hotel Mactan Island Cebu.
