1 Day in Lisbon, Portugal - TimeOut Market
Time out Market Lisbon (a.k.a Mercado da Ribeira) is one of the biggest food markets in the city. Many tourists visit the place for the food. There are more than 20 stalls in the indoor market. You can dine with comfort there. If you have been to Singapore, this is the atas hawker centre.
The market can be a little chaotic and noisy. You would need to find your own seats, at times, sharing your seats with others. If you are going with a big group, I would advise you that you can go slightly earlier before each mealtime, or go during awkward timing. However, if you prefer more comfort, you can dine at other, but limited, stalls which offer outdoor seating. Having said that, dining in Time Out Market is an experience.
I tried 2 dishes from Monte Mar. I can't remember the name of the dishes, but I ordered the pan-fried codfish and a plate of vegetables. The fish was pretty good, it's really fresh. However, there are bones in the fillet. The green vegetable tasted like green chilli, but I would say it tasted pretty good. I preferred the vegetable over the fish.
I did not manage to try other items, but the burgers and desserts look good too. I would love to try the dessert if only I have stomach space. I saw quite many guests having burgers and beer. The average cost of the food is pretty reasonable.
I am sure that you would be able to find something that you would like here.
