When in Brussels, one has to take a look at the legendary Manneken Pis. It's the tourist hotspot!

Storytime!

Manneken Pis was once also known as "Petit Julien". Julien saved Brussels from a disaster. The enemy was at the gates ready to bring down the city walls with gunpowder. Fortunately, he who happened to be around the area and desperately needed to relieve himself. And he did, and coincidentally, in doing so, he extinguished the fuse. He saved Brussels.

I got lost while trying to find the Manneken Pis. However, look out for the crowds in between the corners. Once, you see a crowd gathering in front of a building, you would be able to find the Manneken Pis. The statue is situated next to Neuhaus.

I wanted to see the Manneken Pis because if you are lucky, you can see him dress up in different attire. I wanted to check out for myself to see if he would be decked in clothes that day. Well... obviously, the statue was naked. He looks the same as per photos, so there is no wow factor. However, I am grateful for the chance to see the status in person.

A note of caution: that particular spot is quite crowded, so be mindful of your belongings.

x, Esther
