Doraemon’s Time-Travelling Adventures - National Museum of Singapore
Have you thought about being a tourist in your own country?
The pandemic situation has improved in Singapore, but it is almost impossible to travel overseas yet. Life can be dull without some play. It would be nice to whirl around Singapore during this season. However, one of the deterring factors is the weather! It can be quite uncomfortable to walk around under the hot sun in the afternoon.
There is an ongoing exhibition, "Doraemon’s Time-Travelling Adventures", at the National Museum of Singapore. I did watch the anime series when I was a kid. For nostalgia's sake, I decided to drop by.
The main exhibition is outside the museum. You can take photos with the individual statue. A security will be present at the open space to assist with the crowd control and safe distancing. The best timing to visit the exhibition is during the lunch hour. It started to get crowded from 1.30pm onwards.
If the weather gets too humid, you could visit other exhibitions which are held indoors. Inside the museum, there are 2 more photostops, a small-scale exhibition on Doraemon’s Gadgets from the Future and others.
Don’t miss the exhibition if you are a fan of Doraemon. If you have kids, this would be the perfect time to bring them to the museum. They can have some fun taking photos with Doraemon too.
The exhibition is ongoing from now till December 27 2020. Admission is free for Singapore Citizens and PRs.
I wish there could be a Snoopy exhibition in the near future too. :)
x, Esther
