4 Ways to Give Yourself a Break
Have you suffered from fatigue?
Fatigue is extreme tiredness resulting from mental or physical exertion or illness.
Some of you may have high-stress work or hold more than 2 jobs. You may feel like you are going to burn out soon. I feel you. I have been burning on both sides of the candle for a while now. Recently, I had burnout. It was also the first time that I felt fatigued. I neither felt hunger nor had the appetite to eat. It lasted for 3 days. I knew that this couldn't go on, as it will be detrimental to my health.
Here are some tips that I tried that worked for me.
1. Have good quality sleep
We all know that it's important to sleep for eight hours a day. Sleep is vital because it enables the body to repair and be fit and ready for another day. Adjust your sleeping pattern, and sleep for six to eight hours every day. However, do not sleep too much; there is a high chance that you may feel even more tired. Any deviation from normal sleep patterns can upset the body's rhythms and increase daytime fatigue.
2. Exercise
Everyone benefits from exercise. In this context, exercise can help to improve your mood and reduce stress. Exercise can also increase the production of endorphins, a type of happy hormones.
3. Go out and have a walk
Stepping outside and heading for a walk can do wonders for your mental health. Research has shown that regular walking can boost both your mood and self-esteem, as well as reducing stress levels and easing fatigue, anxiety and depression. A stroll is good for your soul.
4. Give yourself a break.
Sometimes, all you need is to stay away from the source that is giving you stress. Permit yourself to take a break. Taking a break allows you to reset your mood. By taking breaks you can boost your performance too.
Once you are feeling better, you can slowly return to your daily routine.
I hope this article help!
