How to post to Instagram via Browser?

Do you always edit or create images on the computer before you post them on Instagram? Do you find it a hassle to use different social media publishers to schedule or publish a piece of content? Or do you wish to delete the app on your phone as you find yourself scrolling through it mindlessly once you wake up? Here is one good piece of news for you. You can now post to Instagram via the browsers. You could potentially use Creator Studio, but now, you can do it via Instagram on the browser.

1. How to post to Instagram via Browser?

Log in to your Instagram profile via your preferred browser. Click on the "+" icon on the toolbar.

Now, you can create a new post. Drag the photos or video of your choice into the field. Alternatively, you can select from your computer.

You can apply the necessary filters and adjustments to your image. The functions are the same as the ones on the app.

Now, we have come to the final part. Just like the app, you can write a caption, add a location and tag your friends. Once you have completed this part, your post is ready to be published.

It is that simple! The process is similar to the one on the phone app, just that you are using a different device to create your post.

Here's my honest review:

User Experience ★★★★☆

This time around, I am diving straight into my experience since most of us are familiar with Instagram. Honestly, it is effortless to upload content via the browser. All the functions are available on both the browser and the app. The steps are pretty similar to how you upload a post via your phone.

I like this function because there are times when I edit or create content via the desktop. Now, I can upload via Instagram directly, rather than using Creator Studio. By the way, you can use the browser function to reply to Instagram's messages too.

I didn't give it 5 stars because I am waiting for Facebook to allow users to schedule IG stories. Right now, this function is not available via the browser yet.

On a side note, if you look at your profile on the browser, you can view your posts, videos, saved and tagged posts. Under the videos tab, you can view all the videos, including IGTV. There's no separation for IGTV on the browser. You can view all the videos under this tab.

3. Why should you use Instagram on your browser?

If you are thinking of deleting Instagram on your phone and do not post on the Instagram story, you can now use it on the browser. This option may help you to reduce screen time on your phone. Or, you can now update content onto Instagram once you finished editing/creating images for the gram'.

In conclusion, it's great to see that Instagram now provides more options to users to upload content.

x, Esther
